INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Looking to make someone’s holiday season just a little bit brighter? Or perhaps, making ends meet has been a tad difficult as of late.

Established more than 100 years ago, USPS Operation Santa is a program designed to help those in need and is now open for the holiday season.

Children and their families can write letters asking for help this holiday season, by detailing a holiday wishlist. Then potential adopters, once approved by the program, will choose one or more of those letters and fulfill those wishes.

In order to qualify for the program, the letters must be postmarked by Dec. 10 and then will be uploaded to USPSOperationSanta.com.
