Freelance Motion Designer

WISH-TV/MyINDY-TV, in Indianapolis, is seeking a creative, motivated freelance motion designer to create visually compelling graphics for daily local news, sales projects, promotion, digital, and station events. Designer also interacts with newscast management, producers, and directors to successfully create designs to help the storytelling process. You will be making content for a wide variety of different screens. Some days you may be working off a template and others you will be creating animations or elements from scratch. If creating cutting edge graphics is what you live for, then we want to hear from you. This position is on-site in Indianapolis, Indiana during normal business hours for 3+ months.

Qualifications: Candidate must be a strong in both graphic design and animation. Applicant must have attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, be organized with project files, communicate with others, quickly develop creative solutions and be a team player. Applicant must also provide examples of past work, showcasing versatility and scope of style, design, and creativity.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design/Animation/Graphics or equivalent training and/or experience.

Experience: Five years related experience preferred. Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud required (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator). We mainly work in the Adobe CC but our 3D work is in Cinema 4D so knowledge of this specific 3D program (or other related 3D programs) is needed. The ability to learn and teach yourself in a fast-paced environment is a must. Knowledge of Ross Xpression graphics system, the Chyron Prime/Newsticker system, or technical skills are a plus.
