Community Link: Speedway Town Manager Carlos May
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each week in Community Link, Carolene Mays-Medley and Marco Dominguez take a look at an organization or business that is making a positive impact on the community.
The town of Speedway has a new manager and his name is Carlos May.
May has been working in the community for a long time. He is the first Latino to hold the position and he used to work for the City of Indianapolis.
“It’s been fun,” said May. “Luckily I had that governmental experience prior to working with (Speedway) Mayor Ballard, so the lead-in period wasn’t as difficult as just starting something fresh for the first time and not knowing what you’re doing. It’s been phenomenal. Speedway has been great.”
