Indiana Grown: Juniper Spoon

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each and every Saturday WISH-TV highlights a local company together with our partners at Indiana Grown.

This week, Lali Hess, chef and owner of Juniper Spoon, stopped by the Daybreak studios to talk about how her catering business has shifted its business model amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Like every other catering company, in March we saw our next five months just disappear from the calendar,” Hess said. “So we started Juniper Spoonfed, which is a delivery system to your door in Crawfordsville and greater Lafayette. We fill the bag with enough food for three meals for two people, drop it at your door.”

Hess said she sources as much food as she can from providers in Indiana.

“That has been the mission from the start,” she said. “Integrating our business with Indiana. 67 percent of our food comes from Indiana producers.”
