Miracle on 34th Street gives back to the community
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Miracle on 34th Street Community Health Fair sponsored by Raphael Health Center and its community partners will take place Saturday, September 10th at 401 East 34th Street in The Mapleton Fall Creek Neighborhood.
The Health Fair provides an opportunity for the community to learn about what Raphael Health Center offers. It is expected that over 60 local public service groups will also be on hand to talk about their services.
This year, as part of the 11th annual event, there will be a One Mile Walk/Run that will start at 9 a.m. with the actual Fair starting at 10 a.m. and running until 2:00 p.m, Free health screenings will be available along with free food (including Pizza and Hot dogs) and entertainment. Free haircuts for children along with face-painting and other activities are also planned.
It is expected that close to 600 people will attend this year’s event. Sponsors include: CareSource, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, MDwise, MHS, and WISH-TV.
