INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — In Wednesday’s We Stand Together, News 8 sits down with the after school and diversity district director for the Crossroads of America Council chapter of the Boy Scouts, Celia Navarro.
From recruiting more than 1,000 African-American youth, and doubling their Latino membership, to starting the second year of recruiting more Burmese scouts, Navarro hopes to inspire central Indiana to be even better.
You can feel the passion that Navarro has for the community and giving back to high-risk youth. Those are values she’s kept close since she joined Crossroads of America Council chapter of the Boy Scouts of America in 2013.
She works tirelessly to bring scouting opportunities to central Indiana’s minorities.
She’s done a lot and she’s not finished yet.
