Primaries pick candidates for sheriff
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Several central Indiana counties were choosing party candidates Tuesday for the fall general elections.

In Marion County, Republican Brian Durham will face Democratic challenger Kerry Forestal.
In Hamilton County, the Republican nomination went to Dennis Quakenbush. No Democrats were on the ballot.
In Hancock County, Brad Burkhart beat out three challengers for the Republican nomination. No Democrats were on the ballot.
In Johnson County, Duane Burgess defeated Kirby Cochran and Stoney Vann on the Republican ballot. Only one Democrat, Jason Boudi, was on the ballot. The incumbent, Doug Cox, was unable to run again due to term limits.
In Boone County, incumbent Michael T. Nielsen won the GOP nomination over Michael C. Greene.
In Morgan County, Rich Myers took the Republican bid over Brent Worth.
