‘Gr8 Comeback’: Slapfish Indiana brings ‘fresh’ take on seafood to downtown

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It’s a restaurant with a fresh and unique experience for seafood fans. However, when Slapfish Indiana opened up its newest location in downtown Indianapolis on Massachusetts Avenue, it had to capture people’s attention in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

“I was worried [and] a little scared,” owner of Slapfish Indiana downtown, Mark Weghorst said.

Weghorst said despite his worries, customers still came out to support; coming to taste popular menu items like the lobster roll and “power bowl.”

“It’s been awesome,” he said. “Indianapolis has really been supportive. To get that support really means a lot. It’s something I’m not going to forget.”
