Art Squared invites artists to create a Masterpiece in a Day
Make Art, Buy Art, Be Art! That’ the message at this year’s Art Squared event in the heart of Fountain Square! It’s a 5-year milestone, in which a group of 8 volunteers invest nearly 1000 hours of their own time to fund-raise, develop and staff this popular family-friendly event. There’s also a “Masterpiece in a Day” competition, in which one of the past winners stopped by our studios to explain and show off her talent, but this time, in about 45 minutes!
All the fun takes place September 19, from 12pm – 6pm, with the parade starting at 5pm and highlights the Fountain Square neighborhood, with artists showcasing their talent. Communities will gather as musicians from all over the world perform on stages, street corners, schools, yoga studios, and cafes all with the goal of bringing music into the lives of young people and we’re proud to have Fountain Square, and Art Squared, serve as the Indianapolis site for this global event. The best part? It’s all FREE!
