Award-winning films featured at Indy Shorts Film Fest
It’s that time of year for short films!
Great Day TV’s Patty Spitler and Greg Sorvig, Director of Film Programming for Heartland Films, preview the largest short film festival in the Midwest – the Indy Shorts International Film Festival, which takes place from July 25–28.
A total of $32,000 will be rewarded in prizes, and the festival highlights acclaimed shorts, such as:
- “EVA”
- Feature film recently won seven regional Emmys and the Jimmy Stewart Legacy Award at Heartland last year
- Indy Shorts will feature the film’s new VR experience
- “Period. End of Sentence.”
- Featured at last year’s Indy Shorts and won the Academy Award for Documentary Short this past February
- Will be playing outdoors as part of Newfields Summer Nights on Friday, July 26
- “Hors Piste (Off Road)”
- Fun animated short film that will be featured as part of the comedy lineup
- Will also be competing for $1,000 for the Best Student Film Award
