Ben’s Ranch Foundation hosts Barn Bash fundraiser at Conner Prairie

Ben’s Ranch Foundation will hold its first annual Barn Bash at Conner Prairie on Sunday, October 3.

Brose McVey, founder of Ben’s Ranch Foundation, joined us today to share more about this event. Here’s more from him:

Tickets include a full-day of admission to Conner Prairie followed by hot air balloon rides, dinner and a live performance from acclaimed country music band The Roads Below. It’s designed as an event for the whole family, but an individual or couple can also just come for dinner and music.

Tickets are $90 for adults and $10 for children under 12.

Ben’s Ranch Foundation recently formed a partnership with Conner Prairie and we’ve placed an intern there.

Our organization is founded on the research that hard work, nature and animals can give teens struggling with mental health a purpose and compliment medical interventions.

The need is growing because of the pandemic.

A recent survey by Mental Health America found 54% of 11 to 17-year-olds reported frequent suicidal thoughts or self-harm in the previous two weeks — the highest rate since it began screening in 2014.

Research shows that spending regular time outdoors helps to reduce headaches and mental fatigue, lower stress, and improve mood.

Add in the healing power of animals and you can see incredible improvement in anxiety and other issues.

Ben’s Ranch is a nonprofit that needs help from the community to meet the growing need. One way to do that is to get your tickets to the Barn Bash. If you can’t make it, we’d appreciate a donation at bensranch.org/donate
