Central Indiana company creates face shields for health care workers during COVID-19 crisis

A Central Indiana company known for manufacturing parts for the nation’s defense industry is pivoting their production line to protect health care heroes on the front lines of an invisible enemy, COVID-19.

“Changing our daily operation at MSP Aviation to help health care workers is the least we could do,” MSP Aviation President and CEO John Goode said. “We have the ability to produce at least 25,000 face shields per week, and can ramp up to make even more.” 

MSP Aviation, based in
Bloomington Indiana, is now manufacturing and distributing face shields that
were designed by doctors and nurses to meet their specific requirements.The
company’s shop floor that usually produces parts for the airline and the
aerospace industries, have changed production to manufacture the face shields. 

MSP Aviation is now taking orders and distributing the face shields.
