During this 100th anniversary of Ripley’s Believe It or Not!®, explore the real science behind the unbelievable. Crawl through a life-size model of the largest snake to have ever lived, Titanoboa, and revel at its incredible size! Admire a portrait of Justin Bieber made entirely of candy. Marvel at intricate micro-sculptures so small, they fit in the eye of a needle. Measure up against Robert Wadlow, the world’s tallest man, who grew to 8 feet 11 inches tall! Experience some of the world’s most perplexing optical illusions, and celebrate the life and legacy of Robert Ripley, the cartoonist, collector, and adventurer. Ponder how an octopus with nothing to fossilize became fossilized millions of years ago, a new addition to The Children’s Museum’s collection, on display for the first time!The exhibit space is divided into areas of astounding wonder, including: 

Extreme Biology — Animals, Plants, and People
Feel dwarfed by some of the world’s largest organisms, and invaded by some of the smallest, as you discover the science behind our planet’s most extreme biology. 

The Wonderful World of Ripley
Mr. Ripley was an explorer extraordinaire who traveled the world, collecting artifacts and stories from remarkable people and places he encountered. Browse through decades of cartoons, letters and video by and about Robert Ripley.

Weird World
We live on an amazing planet that is full of incredible phenomena. From geologic formations such as gigantic mineral crystals, to exploding killer lakes, there is scientific explanation behind every wonder of the natural world.

These amazing illusions may keep you fooled even after you learn how they work. The Children’s Museum is thrilled Ripley’s Believe It or Not!® will feature the world’s largest children’s museum in its historic daily cartoon on Friday, October 5. Ripley’s Daily Fun Facts Cartoon was started in 1918 by Robert Ripley.
