Closet clean-out tips from celebrity stylist: Embracing your true style

Closet Cleanout Day 2: Embrace Your Style

We all seem to have a little more time on our hands right now, and many of us have gotten a big start on our “spring cleaning” already. Brandie Price, Makeup Artist & Celebrity Stylist wants to give you tips on how to tactically go through your wardrobe, embrace your true style, get more out of your wardrobe, and choose the right accessories going into Spring.

Today’s tip to help you jump start your closet clean out is to embrace your true style.

Forget everything that you’ve been taught up to this point about “style.”  Know your body type? That is great, but that doesn’t really help you move forward with a style that truly works for you.  Body shape indexes don’t take into account the most crucial component to finding styles that fit your body properly.

That component is torso length.  You may be wearing clothing that was created with your body shape in mind, but due to a longer or shorter torso length than what the manufacturer prepared for the clothing just doesn’t fit quite right.  Don’t even get me started with how torso length effects the rise you need in your pants!

So if traditional body type styling isn’t quite working for you, how do you find your true style? Start instead by how your garments feel on your body.  How you feel in each item will tell you a great deal about your true style.  This is where the Million Dollar Filter comes in to play.  Simply put, If it doesn’t make you feel like a million bucks, it doesn’t belong in your wardrobe.

To learn more about how to apply the Million Dollar Filter, Brandie’s Wardrobe Peace online course is now 90% off! She knows you are at home now, just like she is are and she’d like to help you find peace in your wardrobe. 10% of the proceeds will go to local COVID-19 Relief efforts.
