Break a leg tonight, Eric!

Singer/Songwriter Eric Dodd performs his single, “The Reason,” ahead of tonight’s performance at the Blend Bar at 8 p.m. 

People are responding to the heartfelt message of the “The Reason” as it is approaching 1 million streams. The song was quickly added to numerous playlists, including Apple Music’s Cool Country and Breaking Country, YouTube Music’s Country’s New Crop, and Amazon Music’s Introducing: Country, where the song has remained on the playlist since it was released and has been placed as high as the No. 2 position. Dodd co-wrote “The Reason” with Michael Whitworth and Dan Fernandez, who also produced the track. Dodd is a part of the CMT Artist Discovery Program and was recently named to “CMT Must See Indies,” which gives the spotlight to 10 rising artists influencing the music of tomorrow. The video for “The Reason,” which Dodd calls his “real-life commitment song,” was inspired by his wife Anna, who stars alongside Dodd in the music video. The fervent story of jumping in with both feet when the time is right, made it’s premiere recently on CMT.
