Danielle Campbell returns to the CW for ‘Tell Me a Story’ deputing tomorrow

The CW’s psychological thriller/anthology series, “Tell Me A Story” makes its CW debut tomorrow at 9 p.m.

Danielle Campbell stars as Kayla Powell in the series. She joined us this morning to talk to us about her role in the show which centers around the contemporary retellings of classic fairytales. Kayla has just moved with her father Tim (Sam Jaeger) from Oakland to New York after her mother passes away.  Beautiful and full of anger, Kayla has strayed from her once promising path and will do anything to distract herself from the pain and grief of her mother’s death.

Campbell made her powerful splash
portraying the powerful young witch Davina Claire on The CW’s hit series “The
Originals,” a spin-off of the highly successful CW series “The Vampire
Diaries.”  She was also recently seen in a major recurring role on season
two of the television series “Famous in Love” and on The CW’s hit series “All
American.”

Additional projects include The Fine
Brothers’ first feature film “F*&% the Prom,” Marvel’s “Runaways” and “You
Can Choose Your Family,” directed by Miranda Bailey and executive produced by
Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.

Disney audiences have a long history with Campbell as she starred in the Disney television movie “Starstruck,” and then made her debut on the big screen in the Disney feature “PROM,” starring alongside Nicholas Braun and Aimee Teegarden.
