Grande Masquerade, one of Indy’s premier philanthropic events is back this year, and you can attend virtually!
Lady Bunny, drag artist pioneer, is coming to Indy to support the good cause. It draws in more than 600 attendees and raises vital funds allowing Damien Center to continue offering its one-stop-shop approach to HIV prevention and carefree of charge.
This year, the event is being held both in-person with a virtual option to continue the 34-year tradition while offering a safe alternative to large gatherings for those who aren’t comfortable attending in-person.
The Majesté-themed masquerade ball will feature dinner, live entertainment, the annual Parade of Costumes and a silent auction.
Lady Bunny will emcee the event. She’s a multi-talented drag artist, comedienne, DJ, actress and singer/songwriter who has headlined gay pride events worldwide and has been lucky enough to share a stage with many of her idols including, Patti Labelle, Joan Rivers, and Jennifer Hudson.
Bunny has also made the leap to television and film, with appearances on Sex and the City, The Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson and in the feature films Dragtime (HBO), The Out List (HBO, To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar, Part Girl, RuPaul’s Drag U and can be seen in the upcoming feature film My Dead Boyfriend opposite Heather Graham.
