Wondering what’s new in the Indy food world?! Well, you’re in luck! Jolene Ketzenberger, founder of, tells us everything we need to know about the Indy food/restaurant market!

She says, Sangrita, a new Broad Ripple restaurant that serves a Mexican- and Spanish-inspired menu, opens June 3 at 834 E. 64th St. with an outdoor deck, as well as interior dining and a bar. Sangrita, at 834 E. 64th St. in Broad Ripple, includes a bar that focuses on tequila, mezcal and Mexican beers.

Sangiovese Ristorante will reopen June 5 in the Ironworks building at 86th Street and Keystone Avenue. Longtime Italian favorite Sangiovese Ristorante moved from the Clearwater Crossing area and will reopen in the Ironworks building.

Penn & Palate, from the owners of The Legend in Irvington, has opened at 16th and Pennsylvania streets.The burger at Penn & Palate is topped with bacon, caramelized onions, tomato jam and arugula.

Louie’s Wine Dive & Mass Ave Kitchen has opened at 345 Massachusetts Ave. The 4 pork gnocchi at Louie’s Wine Dive & Mass Ave. Kitchen. Rook’s co-owners chef Carlos Salazar, and Ed Rudisell announced this week that the restaurant is moving to a bigger location two blocks north of its 719 Virginia Ave. location.

The crew at Spice Box, co-owner Nitin Naidu, kitchen manager Jess Johnson, co-owner Tyler Wald and counter staff Bridget Anderson, will be expanding this fall to another location in the former Rook space at 719 Virginia Ave. when that restaurant moves to a bigger location two blocks north.
