Eat Drink Indy’s list of Indiana restaurants reopening during the COVID-19 pandemic, restaurants closing permanently

If you’re ready to start venturing back out to restaurants, Jolene Ketzenberger of Eat Drink Indy has you covered with a list of local restaurants that are now open and updates on restaurants that are unfortunately planning not to reopen.

Gallery Pastry Bar has opened downtown on Pennsylvania Street in the Hyatt House hotel across from Bankers Life, a second location from the rock star bakers of Gallery Pastry Shop near 54th and the Monon.

Two Chicks District Co, 1531 S. East Street, from the Good Bones team, has opened with a retail shop and a bistro serving wine, beer and snacks.

Amberson Coffee & Grocer, a coffee shop with a retail grocery component, has opened at 401 S. College Ave.

Gold Leaf Savory & Sweet has opened at 1901 E. 46th St. with a small plates menu, espresso, wine and beer with menu items at an under $10 price point.

Trending Headlines

The quick-service franchise I Heart Mac and Cheese has opened in Westfield.

Natural State Provisions, from Adam and Alicia Sweet of King Dough, has reopened at Fishers Test Kitchen with their focus on Southern fare.

And a few closings since we’ve last talked restaurants, including North End Barbecue in Nora, Dancing Donut in SoBro, and longtime pizza shop WB Pizza on Allisonville.

Also, Sawasdee Thai restaurant on 86th Street has closed, but with the hope of reopening in a different location.
