GR8 Health: training for the big races

Training is already well underway for the first big marathons and half-marathons of the year. In Gr8 Health, Lauren Lowrey talks with a big race organizer, Don Carr of Tuxedo Brothers, and race pace-setter Rose Scovel from Indy Racers about the importance of getting in your full 12weeks of training.

Now it the time to get out there and start putting in some miles.” Don Carr

If you don’t already have a pace of 3 miles or more, build on that first before jumping in to a long distance training plan.  Allow yourself a full 12 to 16 weeks to prepare for a long race.  If you are doing a 12 week plan for the mini, your training started yesterday.
