Indy Community Tennis Program seeks new players, spotlights young champion player

This team is working putting Indianapolis on the map when it comes to tennis! Barbara Wynne, founder and board chairman at Indianapolis Community Tennis Program and Colin McPeek, 12-year-old high-ranked U.S. tennis player, joined us today to talk about what’s new with their local tennis program.

Collin is ranked #2 in US in singles and #1 in US in doubles for his age group. He wins over players from all over the country.

Barbara just completed her 58th summer providing Tennis to the youth of Indianapolis.

New in 2021, the INDY Program (Inspiring, Nurturing, Developing Youth) will include 50 kids from Washington Township Elementary Schools.

Through grant funding and donations we were able to eliminate the financial barrier that sometimes prevents children from participating in youth sports.

44 new outdoor courts are coming to Washington Township.

They provide education through tennis and are able to teach life skills through the sport, focusing on a new skill each week.

The Barbara Wynne Tennis Center is located at 1805 East 86th Street Indianapolis, all are welcome!
