Indy restaurant updates

There’s a lot to talk about when it comes to the ever evolving Indy restaurant scene, Jolene Ketzenberger of Eat Drink Indy and co-founder and proprietor of the Signature Table joined us today with updates.

The biggest news to start out with is the bad news that Black Market and Rook are closing after this weekend, a result of the COVID-19 closures and restrictions. We’ll likely see more of this, unfortunately.

But Leviathan Bakehouse opened this summer in the former R2Go spot. I’m very excited about the bakery that includes pastry chefs Pete Schmutte and Matt Steinbronn.

Little India Restaurant is opening at 52nd and College Avenue.

Thieves, a cocktail bar, will be opening on Broad Ripple Avenue.

And Sawasdee Thai restaurant, while it has closed, has just started curbside pickup, so you can place an order online and then pick up.

And I am taking orders for my Signature Pies, just a few to start out with, that can be preordered today and picked up Friday here at the Signature Table — sugar cream pies and coconut cream —  just in time for Labor Day weekend!
