Indy Style

If you haven’t noticed by now, getting kids outside gets harder and harder with the advancement of technology, gaming and social media. Master Gardener Carrie Petty and her 12-year-old helpers share some great tips on how to start and KEEP kids ever curious about the natural world!

Carrie Petty is a forth generation Hoosier, Master Gardener and Writer. After a long career in the Corporate & Political world she’s finally doing what she loves! Playing in the dirt. Serving as the Chairman of the Board to Gleaners Food Bank in Indiana, Carrie knew there needed to be more conversation about growing our own food to elevate hunger.

An amateur naturalist, painter & photographer, Petty loves teaching families how to, “Grow a Beautiful Life,” through her gardening & lifestyle blog: She can also be found on Twitter @Caroline_Garden. To book for a lecture, email Carrie at
