Mixologist Brett Butler makes us some MOCKTAILS -and- COCKTAILS

Ah, spring flavors… in a glass!

In our kitchen this morning, Alcomy Mixologist Brett Butler shares his twist on these fresh mocktails and cocktails:

  1. “Lavender Lemonade,” with elderflower seltzer, lemon, blueberry-lavender syrup and fresh rosemary. The other,
  2. “Blueberry Mule,” with ginger beer, blueberry-lavender syrup, aloe vera-coconut water, lime and fresh mint.
  3. “Bali Bee’s Knees,” with Bombay Sapphire East gin, honey, ginger, lemongrass and lemon…
  4. “Lavender French 75,” with Bombay Sapphire East gin, blueberry-lavender syrup, lemon and sparkling rose.

Mocktails~

“Lavender Lemonade”
1 oz. Blueberry-Lavender simple syrup
1 oz. Aloe Vera- Coconut water
.5 oz. Lemon juice
3 oz. Elderflower seltzer water

Build over ice in a collins glass, stirring to mix thoroughly. Garnish with fresh rosemary.

  • Elderflower seltzer and Aloe Vera-Coconut water can be found at any Trader Joe’s.

“Blueberry Mule”
.5 oz Lime juice
5 blueberries
4 cucumber slices
1 sprig fresh mint

Muddle blueberries, cucumbers, mint and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake thoroughly, straining over ice. Add your favorite ginger beer and garnish with fresh mint and lime.

Cocktails~

“Bali Bee’s Knees”
2 oz. Bombay Sapphire East Gin
1.5 oz. Honey Ginger Lemongrass simple syrup
.5 oz. Lemon juice
.5 oz. Organic Turmeric shot

Shake all ingredients thoroughly in an iced cocktail shaker for about 20 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist and curry leaf.

“Lavender French 75”
1 oz. Bombay Sapphire East Gin
1 oz. Blueberry Lavender simple syrup
.5 oz. Lemon juice
Sparkling Rose

Add gin, blueberry lavender syrup and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake thoroughly for 20 seconds. Strain into a champagne glass and top with sparkling rose or champagne. Garnish with a dried lavender sprig.
