Westfield, you will finally get the joy of the Chicago hot dog!

Jessica Roberts, general manager for the new Portillo’s location in Westfield, joined us today and shared everything we need to know about the new restaurant and their partnership with the Carmel Education Foundation.

Portillo’s newest location in Westfield, located at 870 IN-32, Westfield, IN, 46074, will celebrate their grand opening November 9, 2021.

CEF is excited to announce Portillo’s as a premier “Ghost” sponsor for the 13th annual Ghosts and Goblins 5k/2k Run/Walk which will kick off at 8:30 am on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Carmel High School.

The race is open to all community members and is especially fun for families. Participants can choose to run or walk a 5K or 2K timed course, or an untimed 2K course. Both courses start and end at Carmel High School at 520 E. Main Street, Carmel, IN, 46032. This event is perfect for the serious runner, as well as the casual walker. Strollers are welcome, but pets need to stay at home for their safety. All race proceeds benefit teachers, students, and families in Carmel Clay Schools.

Individual registration is $40 (age 12+); family registration (up to five people) is $80 and the untimed 2K race is $10 through 12:00 pm, October 21, 2021. Prices increase for on-site registration which is October 22nd from 11 am – 7:00 pm and on Saturday, October 23rd from 7:00 -7:45 am. Prizes will be awarded to age category winners, and a variety of costume prizes will be featured.

Portillo’s, known for their Chicago street food, is now hiring staff for their Westfield store. Interested applicants can find information at portillos.com/careers. This location will feature a diner theme, two drive-through lanes, a seasonal outdoor patio, and a beer garden.
