Devour Downtown Winterfest 2015

With over 70 restaurants participating in Devour Downtown this year it can be hard to choose which ones to visit.  Browse below and click on the green names for more information on each restaurant. Corn Chowder

blended oil cup 1/4

corn on the cob, charred ea 5

poblano peppers, charred ea 2

onion, diced ea 1

celery Stalks 3

cilantro bu 1

cracked pepper tsp 1

cumin tsp 1

kosher salt tbl 1

half & half qt 1

Milk cups 2

Method:

1. toss corn and peppers in 1/2 of the oil and char on grill until dark brown and slightly tender.

2. Remove seeds and skins from peppers and cut kernels off cobs (reserve cobs for soup).

3. In large pot heat oil with celery and onions until tender. add in cut corn, poblanos, corn cobs, and remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer.

4. Allow to gently simmer for 30 minutes.

5. remove corn cobs and carefully blend soup. taste and adjust seasoning as needed. cool and reserve.Corn Relish

3. Mix all ingredients together and save to serve to with soup.
