In our kitchen this morning, Urban Ag Indy’s Jason Michael Thomas shares what harvest time is like at the farm right now and how to figure out what to do with our bounty!
We have lots of tomatoes, peppers, and squash. So for the first segment I want to talk about seed saving. I’ll demonstrate how we do this, and by cutting up the peppers and tomatoes and squash I will show everyone how we put aside the seeds to dry and package them for next year. We can also talk about why we should save seeds.
HOT PEPPER SAUCE
In the second segment I would like to show people how I make my hot pepper sauce. Since we will already have cut produce handy I will show people the basics of making a sauce out of leftover peppers and tomatoes.
