Talk about teamwork!

Smoking Goose & Cardinal Spirits have teamed up to make a limited-edition Terra Gin Salame, the first of three spirited meats in a new collab series. Summer entertaining is as easy as a meat-and-cheese board with Terra Gin Salame as the star, paired with a Terra cocktail, like an easy-drinking Mint-Basil Gimlet.

Corrie Quinn, Libation and Narration Manager, Smoking Goose, and Alyvia Cain, Bar Manager, Cardinal Spirits, tell us more:

About Terra Gin Salame:
•    Terra Gin Salame is the 1st of 3 spirited meats in a new collab series by Smoking Goose & Cardinal Spirits
•    Terra Gin Salame is made with the same custom spice blend that Cardinal Spirits uses to distill its gold-medal Terra Botanical Gin, plus local, pasture-raised American Guinea hogs and house-cured salt pork.
•    Terra Gin Salame really reps 3 Indiana artisans and 3 long-time Indiana crafts:
—– farming: rare-breed American Guinea Hog raised on pasture in Spencer, Indiana
—– distilling: Cardinal Spirits’ custom botanical gin from Bloomington
—– curing/food preservation: Smoking Goose bring it all together working by hand in small batches for a taste of Indiana like no other
•    Get Terra Gin Salame at Goose the Market, Oca inside Sun King Brewing, and at the Cardinal Spirits tasting room in Bloomington

Terra Gin Salame paired with a Terra gin cocktail:
•     Assemble paired cheese-and-meat board: Corrie will select an Indiana cheese and a condiment/accompaniment from Goose, plus sliced Amelia’s baguette
•    What do you drink alongside Terra Gin Salame? A Terra gin cocktail of course! Terra is a gin that you want to taste, so when you make cocktails with it, you don’t want to add too much. In the summer, a little citrus and herbs from your garden is all you need.
•    A Mint-Basil Gimlet is a summery twist on the classic gimlet cocktail, which is really simple: just gin, lime juice and simple syrup. Today we’re going to add a little bit of basil to give it a fresh, summery twist, but you could use any summer herbs.
•    Cocktails made with Terra are perfect for charcuterie and cheese plates — the botanicals in the gin play nicely off of cheeses and cured meats, and balance the richness of the bites.
•    Terra is a woodsy, botanical gin that we distill using a custom spice blend from La Boite spice company in New York City. Zuta, an unusual mint from Israel, is the star of the blend, and it makes this gin one-of-a-kind.
