Valentine’s Day-Inspired Cocktails with Mixologist Brett Butler

It’s “Farm to Glass, Flaired with Class.” So make them at home… and IMPRESS your Valentine! Mixologist Brett Butler shares his recipes for the cocktails below:

“Mighty Aphrodite,” a luscious blend of strawberry, rhubarb, lemon, elderflower, fresh thyme and rose petal infused Hard Truth Hills gin.

“The Alcomist Painkiller,” a riff on the traditional “Painkiller” cocktail, with Pusser’s Navy Strength Rum, Hard Truth Hills Toasted Coconut Rum Cream, Pineapple and Orange juices, fresh nutmeg and a probiotic injection of Passion Fruit Liqueur.

Brett W. Butler is an entrepreneur, entertainer and mixologist with over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality and entertainment industries. After 10 years in L.A., Brett is back home in Indy, curating his Alcomy experience wherever there’s an event happening.

“Mighty Aphrodite”

2-3 fresh strawberries, sliced
1-2 sprigs fresh thyme
1 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
3/4 oz. vanilla mandarin syrup
1/2 oz. Rhubarb liqueur
1/2 oz. St. Germain Elderflower liqueur
1 1/2 oz. Rose petal infused Gin

Directions: Muddle strawberries, thyme, lemon juice and syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and the rest of the ingredients. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. Double-strain into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with fresh strawberry and thyme sprig.

“The Alcomist Painkiller”

3 oz.. Pineapple juice
1 oz. Orange juice
1 oz. Hard Truth Hills Toasted Coconut Rum Cream
2 oz. Pusser’s Navy Strength Rum
1/2 oz. Passoa Passion Fruit Liqueur

Directions: Add all ingredients to a mixing tin and dry shake for about 10 seconds. Add ice, and wet shake for another 20 seconds. Strain over ice into a highball or double-rocks glass. Garnish with fresh grated nutmeg, and shaved coconut.
