Woman brings passion, purpose to senior home care

This young lady says her passion for the well-being of the elderly runs extremely deep.

Carmen Merriweather, CEO/founder of Patients Hands Home Care and the Positive Purpose Foundation joined us today with hopes to get the word out for people to donate to her non-profit and help her team help the community and their loved ones. Her motto is, “What’s a better way to lead your life being an excellent service to others who need it the most?” Here’s more from her:

This foundation’s primary purpose is to close the gap for senior citizens that fall through the cracks of not receiving home health services upon discharging for hospitals or facilities.

We will also start distributing 5-dollar fruit boxes to as many seniors as we can monthly. Doing this provides them with a healthy food option to better sustain their health and wellness.

We also will be collecting medical supplies such as walkers, wheelchairs, bed pads, depends, and etc. to help others that may not have or be in the process of waiting to receive them.

We are doing a yearly Gala to honor all the other home care, home health, and Independent living companies that have been out in the community doing their part helping our seniors — spotlighting them and seniors as well.

All of these events will take donations for the community to ensure we are taking care of one of the most vulnerable and left out people in our community, our Seniors.
