Breast Cancer Survivors model fall trends for fashion show
Help Pink Ribbon Connection fill the ballroom at the upcoming Stars of Pink Breast Cancer Fashion Show!
Dori Sparks-Unsworth, Executive Director at Pink Ribbon Connection, and Jeanne Rush, Owner of The Secret Ingredient, preview the annual fundraising fashion show to help provide FREE services to breast cancer survivors and their families throughout Indiana, such as free wigs, bras, prosthetics, chemo caps, a local peer counseling helpline, monthly educational gatherings, and new patient resource packets.
While the fashion is stunning, the models are the stars. Their personal stories of their journey are read as they walk the runway. This element is what makes the show so powerful. The room is electric with inherent hope from seeing the survivors so vital and full of life as they strut their stuff, celebrating their life. Chrissy Johnson (one-year survivor TODAY!), Carol Freeman (one-year survivor), and Amanda Byrd (five-year survivor) preview some of the looks that will be see on the runway. The Stars of Pink Breast Cancer Survivor Fashion Show is on Saturday, October 13 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown (350 W. Maryland St.) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased at pinkribbonconnection.org.
