CanoeFest brings canoe races, chicken frying contest, car show, fireworks, to Franklin County
There’s a little bit of everything, and all things fun coming to Franklin Country this weekend!
Mikel Beck, Executive Director of Experience Franklin County, Indiana (along with Clara the Canoefest Chicken) joined us today to share what you can expect from Canoefest and other summer events.
Canoefest Events
Friday, June 25, 2021 – Main Street, Brookville
- Chicken Frying Contest and Judging — Teams needed, enter here:

- Main Street Classic Cruise
- Chicken Calling Contest – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 26, 2021 – New Locations

- American Legion & Along the Whitewater River in the Brookville Town Park
- Craft Fair

Franklin County is also working with Indiana On Tap for the first Brookville Brewfest, Metamora Music Festival and Antique machinery show, so stay tuned for updates on that.
