Indy businesses offer virtual events

Social distancing doesn’t have to mean you can’t connect with your community and in other ways. Niki Burt, Yelp Indy Senior Community Manager joined us today to talk about how Yelp Indy has been partnering with local businesses to host local events.

For example, Sushi Boss now sells sushi kits, so they had attendees buy them for a sushi-making class.

They also did a “Travel Through Chocolate” class with Xchocol’Art and their chocolate-tasting kits, beer queso, and margarita cooking class with Sun King, a whiskey cocktail class with West Fork Whiskey.

And coming up next? A “Sourdough Showdown” with Urban Awareness Gardens, a lunchtime barre class with The Dailey Method, a phone photography class with Michael Durr Photography and a scone-making “Great British Bake Off” night with Tina’s Tea Room.

All events are free and open to everyone.
