Indy Magic returns with in-person performance

Indy Magic is reopening with a very special show, Taylor Martin of Indy Fringe joined us today to share more about it. Here’s more from him:

This is happening on August 5 at 7 p.m. at the Basile theatre at the Indy Fringe.

We are featuring two of the magicians in the Indianapolis Fringe Festival this year, the return of one of our favorite Las Vegas magicians, and the return of one of Taylor’s characters not seen in two years.

Jordan Rooks has been in Indy Fringe before and has had sold-out shows. He is from Bloomington, Indiana, but currently resides in Las Vegas and has worked with some of the big acts there. His set will bring a little of the big lights to our show. He has a show in this year’s Indy Fringe.

Brendon Ware has started with us in our Young Whippersnappers show and has taken great strides since. He has studied at Second City in Chicago and has recently been accepted at the Strasberg Institute in New York City. As the Reluctant Mentalist, you’ll be enthralled with this rising star of magic. His show is also in Indy Fringe this year.

Sean Scott has appeared in Indy Magic Monthly, but not in a few years. He is currently a resident magician on Fremont Street in Las Vegas and performs 8 sets a night there. His magic is unique and will bring a little more of the lights of Las Vegas. Originally from Indiana, he returns to us for this special show.

Finally, this is all hosted by Taylor Martin in his return to the Indy Magic as Andrea Merlyn, the Queen of Magic. Her set will include some of your favorite routines of hers and she will add a glamorous touch to the evening as hostess.

The Glamorous Andrea Merlyn Magic Show was the first magic show at the Indy Fringe Festival in 2005, which started the magic show trend for the Festival.

Plus, there may be a special guest or two to make this a huge evening to celebrate the return of indoor seating to theatre in Indy.

We do request if you have not been vaccinated to wear a mask when not seated.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and under 15, and $10 for Indy Fringe Volunteers.

Please join us on August 5th for a celebration of the return to the indoors at Indy Fringe, 719 E. St. Clair in Indianapolis. Tickets and advanced beer and wine purchases are at indyfringe.org.
