Quick and easy no-bake desserts for the party

The holidays are a busy time! What do you do if you were asked to “bring a dessert” and you don’t have time to whip one up let alone, time to bake? You could, of course, buy something from a local bakery. For a little extra touch you can also take 5 minutes and make a dessert that requires no baking!

Heather Tallman, AKA Basilmomma, shares her holiday recipe ideas for a quick and easy dessert that’ll leave your guests coming back for more!

Pumpkin Pie Dip

1 8 oz + 4 oz package of cream cheese, softened

1 C powdered sugar, up to an additional 1 cup, if desired, for sweetness

11/2 C canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

1/2 C plain or vanilla yogurt

11/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp ground ginger

11/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (more if you like the spice)

11/2 C of whipped cream

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Add in pumpkin, yogurt, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and ginger and nutmeg. Mix well.

Fold in the whipped cream.

Serve with apples, graham crackers, or ginger cookies.

Chill until served.

Creamy No-Bake Cranberry Pie

1 container of whipped topping (or 2 C of freshly whipped cream)

1 8oz package cream cheese, soft

1/4 C sugar

1 can whole berry cranberry sauce

1 TB orange zest

1 tsp vanilla

Whip together the whipped topping and cream cheese.

Next, add in the sugar and vanilla.

Last, fold in the cranberry sauce and zest.
