Trees have multi-billion dollar impact on home values

We all love trees, especially as we get close to autumn and the fall colors! A new study conducted by the University of Nebraska – Lincoln finds that trees add more than $30 billion in value to homes across the nation each year! Dan Lambe, president of the Arbor Day foundation, joined us today on Indy Style to tell us all about it.

Researchers found that the collective worth of trees on private home property values is more than $30 billion nationwide. Trees provide environmental benefits to neighborhoods by lowering temperatures and fostering habitats for wildlife. They also reduce air pollution!

This study was sponsored in part by The Arbor Day Foundation. The Arbor Day foundation, founded in 1972, is the largest non-profit dedicated to planting trees.
