Burger King offers terminally ill dog cheeseburgers for the rest of his life

TOLEDO, Ohio (WCMH) — A terminally ill dog in Ohio will be dining on one of his favorite meals for the rest of his life thanks to a Burger King restaurant.

About two months ago 10-year-old dog, Cody, was diagnosed with cancer, according to a Twitter post by Cody’s owner.

Cody’s was only giving about one to three months to live, so the family decided to make the last days of his life the best they could.

Every day since the diagnosis, Cody’s family has been taking him to a Burger King on Alexis Road, in Toledo, to buy him a plain cheeseburger to eat with his medicine.

On Sunday, when the family stopped to get Cody his burger, the worker at the counter asked why they were getting a plain cheeseburger daily.

Cody’s owner explained what was going on, and the employee told him to wait while she went and talked to the manager.

When the employee returned, she told the family that Cody’s cheeseburgers would be free at that location for the rest of his life.

“I can’t explain how much that means to us, and my family and I are beyond appreciative,” Cody’s owner wrote in the post.

Have it your way, Cody. Have it your way.
