College to create pet-friendly residence hall

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (CNN) — Starting this spring, students at a university in Pennsylvania will be able to live with pets on campus. 

Lock Haven University is opening a pet-friendly residence hall. One dog, cat or caged animal will be allowed per room. 

Officials said the residence hall will be the first of its kind in Pennsylvania. 

Students at the university said they are excited for it to open. 

University officials students students tend to associate pets with home. They hope allowing pets to live on campus will attract more students to the university.
