Father of Sandy Hook victim found dead outside of Newtown City Hall

NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — Newtown Police Department has confirmed the death of Jeremy Richman, father of Sandy Hook tragedy victim, Avielle Richman.

Richman, 49, was found dead at approximately 7 a.m. after the report of a suicide at Edmond Town Hall located at 45 Main Street in Newtown, Connecticut. 

According to Newtown Police: “The death appears to be a suicide but police will not disclose the method or any other details of  the death, only to state the death does not appear suspicious.” 

Jeremy Richman founded The Avielle Foundation less than a week after the Sandy Hook Tragedy happened.
