Man accused of stomping 3-week-old kitten to death

DADE CITY, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida man is accused of stomping a kitten to death.

Dade City police officers responded to a home on Moceri Avenue at 3:40 p.m. on Sunday after receiving a 911 call about a cat that was killed.

Eddie Clemmons lives at the home and told police that Antwan Grandberry, 28, showed up uninvited and went to the carport area where Clemmons was visiting with friends.

A witness told police that Grandberry intentionally stomped on a three-week-old kitten, killing the cat. Grandberry then left.

Clemmons showed police the dead kitten.

Police found Grandberry and asked him about the dead kitten, but he refused to answer officers’ questions.

Grandberry was arrested on a charge of felony cruelty to animals.

One of the police officers had previously issued a trespass warning to Grandberry at Clemmons’ residence for violent behavior.
