2 arrested in Franklin fatal shooting of 18-year-old
FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — Franklin police have arrested two people in a Saturday night shooting that killed an 18-year-old man.
Emilio Garcia, 20, faces preliminary charges that include felony murder and robbery. Roger Miller, 21, faces a charge of assisting a criminal, Chief Kirby Cochran confirmed Monday.
The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Hurricane Street, in a neighborhood near the Boys & Girls Club.
The victim, who the coroner’s office on Monday had not yet positively identified, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to Chief Kirby Cochran.
The department had sought information about a 2013 red Dodge Dart in question in connection to the shooting and on Sunday said in a Facebook post that the vehicle had been found.
No formal charges against Garcia or Miller were listed in online records on Monday.
