2 charged for possession of credit card skimming devices in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Two people have been charged after being found in possession of credit card skimming devices and other related materials.

According to the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office, 36-year-old Norge Rodriguez-Leon and 26-year-old Mayara Martinez face charges of possession of a card skimming device.

The charges stem from an executed search warrant on a residence in the 1700 block of Feather Reed Lane in Greenwood. It was there that officers found several sophisticated devices used in the aiding of credit card skimming.

Officers found several skimming devices, materials to manufacture skimming devices,  a ledger, blank credit cards, gift cards, identification cards and devices used to manufacture credit cards.

Additionally, using the materials obtained during the search of the residence, officers were able to locate credit skimming devices that had been placed in gas pumps in Indianapolis.
