The Toyota Corolla spun around and landed in the middle of both lanes of traffic, trapping the driver, Jodi Gentry, 31, inside the car. The struck Ford Escape spun off the road, landing in a ditch. Both the driver, Mylena Roll, 32, and her passenger, Casey Underwood, were trapped inside the SUV. All three passengers needed to be manually extracted from both vehicles.

Gentry and Roll were taken to Schneck Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. Underwood was first transported to Schneck Medical Center, and later flown by STAT Flight to University of Louisville Hospital for a serious head injury.
