3-year-old boy appears to have drowned on water atop pool cover
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 3-year-old appears to have drown in water that had collected on a pool cover, police say.
Dispatchers received a call shortly before 3:45 p.m. Tuesday about a drowning at a house in the 4900 block of Camden Street.
The boy was later identified as Xavier Royalty by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.
The boy’s death appears to be accidental and no foul play is suspected, said Sgt. Christopher Wilburn with the public affairs office of Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. He said no additional information was being released on the case.
