4 members of Coleman family laid to rest after duck boat tragedy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Funeral services were held Friday for four of the nine members of an Indianapolis family killed last week in a duck boat accident in Branson, Missouri.

Of the 11 members of the Coleman family who were on the Ride the Ducks boat that capsized, only Tia Coleman and her nephew survived. In all, 17 people died in the incident.

Services started at 9 a.m. at Grace Apostolic Church for Tia Coleman’s husband, Glenn, and three children, Reece, Evan and Arya. A homegoing service began at noon and included a performance by the Agape Apostolic Faith Choir.

A GoFund Me account to help with the Coleman family’s expenses has raised more than $700,000.

Visitation services for Ervin, Horace, Belinda, Angela and Maxwell Coleman are set to start at 8 a.m. on Saturday, with memorial services at noon at the Eastern Star Church at 5805 Cooper Road. You can also support those members of the Coleman family here.
