INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The gates to the 89th annual Marion County Fair swing open Friday, June 21, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
The usual fair attractions like the Ferris wheel, bumper cars and games will be ready for fans to ride.
Many vendors will have classic foods such as funnel cake, corn dogs and Philly cheesesteaks.
2019 Marion County Fair kicks off
However, 2019 will have some different things in store for people coming to the fair.
This year’s headlining feature is Dino-ROAR, which will be doing performances all 10 days at the fair.
This show features eight life-like animatronic dinosaurs for all the dinosaur lovers in Marion County. The show’s goal is to educate kids with dinosaur facts while being interactive and entertaining.
“The Demolition Derby will be bigger and better than ever,” fairgrounds public information officer, Paul Annee said.
Annee says the derby track in the grandstands is expected to be three times the size it’s been in the past and should bring a lot more cars crashing for fan entertainment.
Other special featured events this year are as follows:
