A few spotty showers today while more summer heat builds mid week
INDIANANPOLIS (WISH) — A few light showers are possible for the start of the work week. Most of the shower activity will stay in eastern portions of the state. Areas west of the city could actually see a little bit of sunshine allowing temperatures to arm to the upper 80s while some flirt with the 90° mark. After dinner time showers are expected to exit the area and skies will clear allowing temperatures to cool off to the mid 60s.
Tuesday will be a drier day with a slight chance of a shower or storm during the afternoon. Plenty of dry time to be had during the day with a few peaks of sunshine. Highs during the day will warm to the upper 80s. Another similar day Wednesday as highs soar to the upper 80s with an isolated afternoon shower.
Thursday the summer like heat will build ahead of cold front allow temperatures to hit the lower 90s with lots of sunshine. Eventually a cold front will pass through the state and cool us off to the lower 80s by Friday afternoon with scattered showers.
This weekend we welcome in Fall at 9:54 pm with highs well below normal and with rain showers during the afternoon. Temperatures will continue to slip through the 70s all weekend with scattered showers sticking with us through Sunday.
