A ‘puuurfect evening’: CatVideo Fest at Downtown IMAX Theater

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Are you the type who can’t get enough cat videos?

The Downtown IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum will host feline enthusiasts Monday night for what it describes as a “puuurfect evening.”

A 70-minute, family-friendly film celebrating cats and cat culture called CatVideo Fest will begin at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door of the theater, 650 W. Washington St.

“The evening will spotlight the abundant ways that cats make us laugh and love with their individuality and often their peculiarities,” a news release from the theater said.

Members of the Spay & Neuter Services of Indiana, the FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic, Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside and Animal Care Services of Indianapolis will be in the theater lobby with information about volunteering and adoption opportunities.

Guests are encouraged to wear any cat-themed clothing or dress, but are kindly asked to leave their furry friends at home for this event.

The night will also include a cat-themed cocktail party. Metazoa will have a specially brewed Grumpy Cat beer at the party, and 5 percent of proceeds will go to animal charities. Whisker Sour and Tomcat Collins cocktails will also be available for purchase during the party before the screening.
