A stormy and muggy weekend ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)–A muggy and warm start to your Saturday morning.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 12:00PM

Meteorologist Marcus Bailey has your Saturday morning forecast

Saturday: The break of no rain is over as we will have showers and thunderstorms start to make their way into our viewing area this morning. A few storms could be on the strong to severe side as the Storm Prediction center has put us into a level one risk. With exception of a few isolated showers this afternoon, much of the second half of the day should be dry with mostly cloudy conditions.

Saturday Night: The rain will stick around but will start to break up as we head into the evening. The winds will be calm ranging from 5-10 mph out of the SE so it will still feel a little muggy.

Sunday: The rain will continue to stick around for the afternoon. We could still see a light pop-up shower in the early morning but the main threat for rain and thunderstorms will be in the late afternoon to overnight. Some of these storms could be on the strong to severe side.

Monday: Scattered showers and storms will be present for parts of the day on Monday. The best chance for these showers and storms will be in the afternoon. They will start to break up as we head into the latter part of the day.

8 day forecast: Once this system moves out of the area, we will get a needed break from the rain. Tuesday will be mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid to low 80s. Temperatures will start to ramp up as we progress into the week but overall should be a beautiful week with a small chance of rain on Friday.
