INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A beautiful stretch of weather will become a bit more bumpy, with numerous rain and thunderstorm chances for the second half of the week.
Quite a pleasant evening across central Indiana, with just a few clouds and mild temperatures. Lows only fall to around 60°.
Morning looks dry and mild. A wave could spark a few isolated showers and storms across the area by the middle to late afternoon hours, but many areas should remain dry.
Highs hit the upper 70s and lower 80s. Expect another round of gusty winds throughout the afternoon.
System working through the Midwest pushes through central Indiana, which will likely be the culprit for several days of severe weather back out west. A marginal risk for severe storms is possible on Thursday across the area, with the main concern being damaging straight line winds and large hail.
Highs take a hit with the cloud cover and rain, only topping out in the middle 70s.
8 Day Forecast:
Rain chances continue into Friday morning, before dry air settles in as we head into the first half of the weekend. Should be great weather for the Mini Marathon, with early morning temperatures in the middle 50s, quickly warming into the middle 60s by mid to late race. Could see a few isolated showers working through central Indiana on Sunday. Numbers should hold in the lower to middle 70s for the first half of the next work week.
